Pavithra Ravi, Artistic Director
Pavithra hails from a family of artists, being the great-granddaughter of the King and the Queen of Comedy in Tamil film industry, Thiru Kalaivanar N. S. Krishnan – T. A. Maduram, and the illustrious Nadaswara Vidwans Thiruvizhimizhalai Brothers, and Daughter and disciple of Kalaimamani Smt. Mutharasi Ravi.
Introduced to the art of Bharathanatyam at the tender age of three under the indispensable guidance of her mother and Guru MutharasiRavi, she had groomed herself as one of the most talented and versatile dancers of her generation. She has been rendering group as well as solo performances since 1998. Her debut solo performance was at the prestigious international dance festival Mamallapuram, at a very young age of 5.
She has won the scholarship for young talented artiste fromIyal Isai Nataka Manram, Govt. Of Tamilnadu. Apart from her mother, she has worked with various other leading gurus like Smt. Padma Subramaniam, Thiru.Madurai R Muralidharan, Smt. Kavitha Ramu. Pavithra Maduram Ravi is also a certified Yoga trainer with a specialization in the field of gentle, restorative, and Prenatal Yoga. She has been awarded ‘Yoga Shiromani’ by theInternational Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy
